Cem Şanap after graduating from Bilkent Erzurum Laboratory High School with an IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) from Cambridge University and an IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma and with a rank of 54 among more than two million participants nationwide in the National University Entrance Exams was admitted to Bilkent University with comprehensive scholarship.

After graduating from Bilkent University with honors, he worked mostly with foreign clients in the field of corporate law, contracts law, and foreigners law in one of the major law firms in Turkey before finally founding Sanap & Co.

In 2019, he concurrently started the Sabancı University MBA program and Koç University Private Law LLM program, both with full scholarships. He has completed the Sabancı University MBA Program as the valedictorian and was awarded the first prize in Company Action Projects, an integral part of the Sabancı MBA program. He also graduated from the LLM program at Koç University in 2023.

Cem Şanap was granted the Jury Special Prize in the “Law Firm of the Future” competition in 2019 and the First Prize in the “Algorithms, Ethics and Law” competition in 2023, each held by European Bars Federation (FBE), across the whole Europe. Cem Şanap is also a permanent member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honors Society where the most successful graduates of the best management schools around the world are invited to become members.

Cem Şanap currently acts as a member of the European Bars Federation New Technologies Commission, and formerly acted as the director of the Legal Tech Laboratory at Bilgi University, and the Executive Board Member at the Career and Professional Development Centre at the Union of Turkish Bar Associations.

Cem Şanap is also the founder of Lavren and Legaling, two legal technology companies. This structure enables him to combine legal expertise with a technology-driven perspective and deliver more effective, current, and strategic advice to his clients.
